The countdown is on! As farmers across the country navigate shifting climate patterns, soaring input costs, and evolving market demands, NAMPO Cape 2026 is stepping up to power the future of agriculture. Set to transform Bredasdorp Park from 9 to 12 September 2026, this premier trade show brings together producers, researchers, and agri-tech pioneers with a sharp, singular focus: practical innovation that boosts your bottom line.
“NAMPO Cape creates that crucial meeting point between everyday farming challenges and cutting-edge ideas,” says Dr. Dirk Strydom, Managing Director of NAMPO (Pty) Ltd. “Whether it’s high-tech water management or a clever solution welded together in a farm workshop, innovation only matters when it works on the ground.”
Tunnels, Tech, and the Future of Vegetables
A massive highlight for this year’s lineup is a high-powered, two-hour seminar titled “Protected agriculture as the future of the Western Cape vegetable industry,” hosted on Friday, 11 September.

Sponsored by Ikusasa and The Efficient Group, this session zeroes in on how controlled-environment agriculture—think state-of-the-art tunnel production, hydroponics, precision climate control, and smart water management—can safeguard crop yields and build climate resilience. Renowned economist Dawie Roodt will cap off the event, breaking down the financial case for technology-driven food production. Designed for commercial vegetable growers, emerging farmers, and agri-investors alike, it’s a must-attend roadmap for securing year-round market supply.
The Great ‘Boereplanne’ Showdown
Proof that brilliant ideas don’t always require millions in R&D, the popular Farmer’s Innovations (Boereplanne) competition is back! Sponsored by Omnia Nutriology®, this fan-favorite showcase highlights real-world inventions created by farmers, students, and tinkers to make daily tasks safer, faster, and cheaper.
Entries span eight exciting categories:

- Tools & Home: Electrical/non-electrical tools and household lifehacks.
- Open & Schools: Low-cost ideas under R5,000 alongside student inventions.
