Agriculture, community, and the natural beauty of the Cape will meet at NAMPO Cape 2026 at Bredasdorp Park from 9 to 12 September. Alongside agricultural exhibitions, machinery, and technology, the event offers a lifestyle experience through the Santam Landbou Women’s Programme and the annual Fynbos flower exhibition.
Santam Landbou Women’s Programme
Taking place from 9 to 11 September in the Distinctive Choice tent in front of the BKB building, the three-day programme is MC’d by Beneschke Janse van Rensburg under the theme “Where farmers, food and community grow together”. It features inspirational conversations, lifestyle content, food, faith, music, and stories of resilience. Men are also warmly invited to attend.

This year’s larger tent provides extra capacity, complemented by an outdoor screen. The lineup includes:
- Wednesday, 9 Sept: Beneschke Janse van Rensburg, Sumarie Jordaan, music by Chris Else, and Mel die Storieverteller with Damien Beer.
- Thursday, 10 Sept: Lynette Beer, Dawid Engelbrecht (“Seafood on the farm”), and a performance by Brendan Peyper.
- Friday, 11 Sept: Koben Hofmeyr (“I walk again”), music by Franna Benadé, and Willem Botha (“Get ready, it’s the weekend”).
Program organizer Burre Burger emphasizes that the sessions provide a space for visitors to pause, listen, laugh, and connect.
Fynbos and Floral Art
Located in the Voermoel Hall, the Fynbos flower exhibition—curated by creative floral artist Marjolijn Malan—features large-scale installations celebrating the Cape floral kingdom. The 2026 concept explores idioms inspired by nature, centered on the theme “Birds of a feather, flock together”.
Key highlights include rare plant species, a floral-arrangement competition where designers interpret well-known idioms, and a public vote for the winning display. Malan’s international profile adds prestige to this year’s show, as she has been selected by the South African Flower Union to represent South Africa at the World Association of Floral Artists world show in Sydney, Australia, in March 2027.
